Optimizing for Vertical Video
To promote the 2015 VMAs, Viacom created short green screen videos of host Miley Cyrus. Users could download these videos from a landing page and create their own versions. As an Interactive Designer at Tapad, the team and I proposed and developed an innovative rich media unit using these user-generated videos to promote awareness for the event.
The unit was able to detect and serve the appropriate orientation in real-time, guaranteeing a full-screen experience for all users. This award-winning approach boosted engagement and completion rates and created a rich media format ahead of its time.
Greenhouse, renowned among tech firms and startups, thrived with its existing brand. Yet, aspiring for global and enterprise expansion demanded a new, ambitious identity.
